Bose uses celebrities to market its products. This way, when a consumer buys Bose, they feel like they have gone up a class, and they understand music better. This is one of the reasons why most audiophiles hate Bose. Bose is popular for their noise-cancelling technology, and they care less what audiophiles have to say about their speakers.
The number of their customers increase as the popularity of their speakers goes up. Bose offers more than Bluetooth speakers. They have a wide selection of other audio devices, and they observe the same high standards of production as in the speakers.
You will find very small Bose speakers that have high quality and loud sound and large speakers from other brands with the same or poorer quality sound. One of the earliest technologies from the company was direct reflecting. This technology sought to create an experience like the one in a concert hall.
According to its proponents, most of the sound one hears in a concert hall is from reflection from walls. They created the speakers to create that hall-like sound and the consumers loved them.
The company then wanted to create a single driver size instead of several speakers, including woofers, tweeters, and midrange speakers.
Today, Bose is synonymous with noise cancelling technology. Their speakers produce high quality audio with no distortion even at maximum volume. They continue to innovate to bring more technologies. Are the speakers worth the money? It depends on the quality of sound you want to listen to.
If you are looking for a splendid listening experience, then Bose is the company you need to go for. However, if you do not realize the audio difference between Bose and other speakers, then avoid the high price tag. There hasn't been an infomercial or cool gadget that I haven't at least thought about buying and trying.
Let's just say my old nickname of "Go-Go Gadgets" was well earned. When I first got my iPhone there was a headphone jack available for plug-in headphones. However, as the iPhone evolved that headphone jack was lost, which led to my investment in Bluetooth Skip to content. Advanced Technology in Bose Bose is at the forefront in adapting new audio device technologies. Research on Psychoacoustics According to some of the audiophiles I have seen online, the company creates better sound quality artificially.
When critics compare such speakers, they will end up being against Bose. Is Bose Designed for Audiophiles? Closing Thoughts Bose offers more than Bluetooth speakers.
Continue Reading. Audiophiles also care a great deal about what they are listening to. They would rather hear how the artist originally wanted their music to be heard. Their products can sound great to an average person for a fraction of the material cost of what you would find in a proper audiophile system.
It is common to find audiophile forums discussing and bashing Bose for not publicly displaying speaker specifications on product listings. Some people see this lack of transparency as a sign of distrust, and that is totally understandable. The problem audiophiles have with this is, there are many audio brands in the market much better sound quality. And yet, they often cost less than something similar made by Bose. Thus, audiophiles generally hold a strong opinion that Bose products are not worth it for the money when considering absolute audio quality.
So you may be wondering… If Bose is so bad, then why are their products so expensive? The answer is right in front of us. Bose pours a ton of money into advertising, marketing, and visual style.
Similar to Beats, Bose has also been accused of selling inferior quality products at an extremely high price because consumers are essentially paying a premium for the brand. While an average person may find Bose to be amazing, Audiophiles beg to differ. So we know that people will pay a premium for Bose products because they give off a high quality, sophisticated vibe. This causes some consumers to feel like they have become part of the audiophile community when they actually have little to no understanding of what it means.

Ive heard the Bose Acoustimass systems as well as the at BestBuy and I agree they dont sound very spectacular. The speakers were placed very close. They were loud, but did not sound very clear or detailed and the bass was terribly boomy and muffled. However, I was at an Apple store the other day and decided to listen to their noise canceling headphones as well as the Companion series computer speakers.
I really thought there was something about the sound that stood out and made it sound very good to my ears. I am not quite sure how to describe the sound, but it sounded very "full" and the voices stood out.
What gives? Do they use some sort of special equalizer? I didnt spend too much time listening, and as much as I want to hate them after reading all the anti-bose statements , I really thought they sounded good to my ears. Im not looking to start a flame war here or anything, but I am really curious. Anyone have a good explanation? Joined Sep 29, Posts Likes Check out this discussion.

I encourage everyone to listen to Bose and compare them to other headphones. The difference is not subtle. Joined Feb 8, Posts 83 Likes 0. See, I thought Bose sounded that good too, until I got a pair of real non-Bose headphones. It's all an illusion.
